Cesar Chavez funeral procession was a California historical event felt throughout the country, drawing in national dignitaries and celebrities alike. Lead by indigenous burial rite ceremonies, the cortège procession was attended by more than 40 thousand people in the small town of Delano, in the San Joaquin Valley. Mexican fine art documentary photographer Abraham Torres created the Funeral of Cesar Chavez Fine Art Collection, the last morning walk with the iconic Mexican American labor leader, as he began his journey to the afterlife. The photograph “Goddess Chalchiuhtlicue's Arrival” is the featured image of the collection.
