Château de Versailles | in a Past Life | Mexican Art Photography

Mexican fine art photographer Abraham Torres wandered the grounds of the palace for the first time in his life, only to have a past life experience that so many visitors have reported. So, in a way, this is a time travel collection of recalling familiar scenes or objects, as he and his wife spent the entire day zipping around in a golf cart, and pausing to recall memories this former hunting lodge has to offer, including: the Gate of Honour, the Queen's Trianon and the Gardens of Versailles The images were captured with a Leica camera, and to create the digital files Torres implemented his master digital darkroom experience, to artistically create the final Palace of Versailles offering.
Temple de l’Amour Versailles, Temple of Love in the estate of Trianon, is where you will find a gift Queen Marie Antoinette gave herself to enjoy with a grand cumulus thundercloud in the distance. The Queen's morning view represents grand historic French architecture, as a cupid fashions a bow from Hercules' club. Commissioned by the Queen and built by Neoclassical French architect Richard Mique, assisted by sculptor Joseph Deschamps, the folly was built directly in front of the Queen's bedroom window at Petit Trianon. Golden Honour Gate or Grille d’honneur is a historical landmark in Versailles and functions as the main entrance gate, covered in gold leaf. After first contact in the Americas, gold was unlawfully stolen by Europeans, who repurposed the gold in many public artistic architecture forms. The title reflects this reality as El Oro de Puebla (Mexico) adorns the Golden Honour Gate or more precisely, Indígena Protegiendo la entrada de el Château de Versailles or indigenous gold protects Versailles.
